How do I enable and test browser notifications?

  • Use Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (not Safari).
  • Log in to your WarmRefer account and go to your profile.
  • Enable "Real-Time Browser Alerts" and allow notifications when prompted by your browser.
  • Make sure notifications are allowed for warmrefer.com in your browser settings.
  • On Windows, check that notifications are enabled for your browser in System Settings & Focus Assist is off.
  • Notifications appear as pop-ups (toasts) on your desktop. If you miss one, check your system's notification center.
  • If you still don't see notifications, try a different browser or device, and check your OS notification settings.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

  • Ensure you are logged in and have enabled notifications in your profile.
  • Check browser and OS notification settings (see above).
  • Notifications are only sent for new referrals in states you have selected for alerts.
  • Some browsers (like Safari) do not support web push notifications.
  • Try logging out and back in, or clearing your browser cache.

How do I edit my profile?

  • Go to the "My Profile" page after logging in.
  • Click the "Edit Profile" button to enable editing.
  • Make your changes, then click "Save" to update or "Cancel" to discard changes.
  • If you can't edit, try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.

How do I reset my password?

  • On the login page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email.
  • Check your inbox for a password reset email and follow the instructions.
  • If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or try again.

How do I create or edit a referral or listing?

  • Go to the "Referrals" or "Listings" page after logging in.
  • Click "Create New" to add a new item, or use the "Edit" and "Delete" buttons on your own items.
  • You can only edit or delete items you created, unless you are an admin.

Why can't I sign up with my email?

  • If you see an error that your email is already in use, you may already have an account.
  • If you deleted your profile but not your account, contact support to fully remove your email from the system.

How do I contact support?

  • Email support@warmrefer.com for help with any issue not covered here.
  • Include as much detail as possible (browser, device, steps to reproduce, screenshots, etc.).

Other Common Questions

  • Access Codes: You need a valid access code to sign up as an agent.
  • Email Verification: You must verify your email before accessing all features.
  • Admin Access: Only admins can manage other users or moderate content.
  • Profile Privacy: Your public profile is visible at /agents/[your-username-or-email].
  • Data Security: All data is stored securely in Google Firestore and protected by Firebase Auth.

Why am I not receiving referral emails for my selected states?

  • First, check your spam or junk folder. Referral emails may be filtered there by mistake.
  • Gmail: Emails may appear in the "Updates," "Promotions," or other tabs instead of your main inbox. Use the search bar to look for "WarmRefer" or check all tabs.
  • Outlook/Hotmail: Emails may be in the "Other" tab (if Focused Inbox is enabled) or in Junk. Add support@warmrefer.com to your contacts/safe senders list.
  • Yahoo: Check the "Spam" folder and mark messages as "Not Spam" if found there. Also check the "Promotions" tab if available.
  • Make sure you have selected the correct states for alerts in your profile and that "Email" notifications are enabled.
  • Emails are only sent for new referrals in the states you have selected. If there are no new referrals, you won't receive emails.
  • If you still can't find the emails, add support@warmrefer.com to your contacts and whitelist the domain in your email settings.
  • Contact support if you continue to have issues after checking these steps.

Why can't I get a preview (unfurl) for my listing link?

  • Some sites (like Zillow or Redfin) block link previews for privacy or security reasons.
  • Try variations of your link: add or remove www., use http:// or https://.
  • For example, if 419elwood.com doesn't work, try www.419elwood.com, https://419elwood.com, or http://419elwood.com.
  • If none of these work, enter the listing details manually below the link field.
  • Some links may never work due to how the website is configured.
